MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA – The Alabama State Bar on March 1 announced the names of 28 attorneys selected as members of the 2018 Leadership Forum Class 14, including Christopher H. Daniel, Sheffield & Lentine, PC (Birmingham)
The State bar’s Leadership Forum has produced 378 graduates since its creation in 2005. While there is no age requirement, candidates must have practiced law for at least five years and no more than 15 years. They are selected based on they leadership qualities they have demonstrated and the service they have provided to their communities. The program is highly competitive with only about 40% of entrants selected to participate each year. Those chosen will undergo a rigorous education and training process focusing on servant leadership, ethics, and career development. Candidates are required to attend five separate sessions, including a three-day orientation program.
“Our State Bar’s Leadership Forum has been repeatedly recognized as one of the best leadership development programs in the country,” said Alabama State Bar President Augusta S. Dowd of White Arnold & Dowd P.C. (Birmingham). “There is no doubt that the Leadership Forum is changing the face of our bar and will continue to do so in the years to come. The forum’s core purpose is to develop lawyers into servant-minded leaders.”
